How to Create Cloud Scale Infrastructure with Azure Resource Manager

Azure Resource Manager (ARM) brings a new look to designing, building and managing cloud infrastructure in Azure that can support everything from your line of business applications to day to day core IT infrastructure. With ARM, resources such as VM’s, Storage, SQL Servers, and Networking are no longer separate entities but are now a collective group of related resources that can be monitored and share the same lifecycle.

ARM allows us to define Azure infrastructure-as-code, apply Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to different levels of the deployed infrastructure and perform repeatable, incremental deployments of assets. Individually these capabilities may seem small, but coupled together through ARM, they allow for creating a global cloud infrastructure capable of growing and adapting to the ever changing needs of business.

This 1-hour webinar will give an overview of ARM and how to:

  • Evolve from Azure Service Model (ASM) to ARM
  • Deploy IaaS resource with Visual Studio and ARM Templates
  • Harness the power of repeatability and incremental deployments
  • Transition IaaS resources from Classic/ASM to ARM
