Events Intern

Cardinal Solutions is seeking an Events Intern to join our Cincinnati team. The Events Intern is responsible for coordinating local, in-geography, and national out-of-geography events.

What our Interns Do

  • Event Logistics – Site logistics, set up registration page, student tracking spreadsheet, manage class listing spreadsheet, on-site registration, coordinate breakfast/lunch, order printed materials, coordinate shipment of supplies if applicable, collect feedback, order/create class consumables - estimation poker decks, feedback forms, and mailing list postcards
  • Attendee Management – Monitor registration and provide updates to sales team, add students to tracking spreadsheet, coordinate payment details with attendee and accounting, send confirmation emails to attendees, update registration list with those who attended
  • Event Follow-up – Print and collect evaluations, scan evaluations and email to sales and presenter, share opt-in lists with Marketing and add to MailChimp, send “thanks for attending” email to attendees.

What we look for

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university; someone studying marketing, communications, or PR.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • A wide range of skills including: strong communication skills, good written skills, self-motivation and self-directed; a broad technical understanding; good organizational skills; good sales skills; professional image; energetic and enthusiastic.
