We’re excited to share our Charlotte office is partnering with Project Scientist, a nonprofit organization committed to giving young girls a chance to learn more about STEM and to help them grow an interest in technology. Through the Expedition program, girls are invited to explore and learn from local STEM companies and universities. Per their website, “The expedition program brings home the relevance of STEM to girls by giving them a VIP behind the scenes look at campaigns and hearing from female STEM professionals.”

Cardinal will host 40 school aged girls for a half-day event in our Charlotte office on November 10. A Q&A panel session will be held with our female designers and developers to discuss their backgrounds, day-to-day jobs, and interests outside of work. Following an office tour, Cardinal developers will lead the group through some lightweight “coding” activities.

“At Cardinal, we’re passionate about the work we do and the communities where we are located,” said Jenny Jackson, Marketing Coordinator. “It’s exciting for us to have the opportunity to introduce young girls to the technology field and share the range of capabilities that are available for them to pursue.”

Please visit the Expedition form for more details about the November 10 event and to register.
