Applying Object Oriented Concepts - .NET 101
This course is the first step in becoming a web developer using .NET technologies. Applying Object Oriented Concepts is a 4 day course that provides students the opportunity to apply basic object-oriented design principles in a hands-on environment using Visual Basic .NET and C# .NET programming.
This course is part one of a three part series that makes up Cardinal Solutions .NET Academy.
Who should attend?
Mainframe or client-server developers who have little or no previous .NET/OO experience and are interested in learning how to support and develop .NET applications.
After completing the course, learners will be able to:
- Understand and use VB.NET and C#.NET programming syntax, data types and built-in language features
- Understand .NET technology and use Visual Studio.NET
- Incorporate .NET framework classes into development
- Create new .NET classes
- Declare and create primitive and reference types
- Understand basic object-oriented design and programming concepts
- Use classroom exercises to apply the OO concepts of Abstraction, Polymorphism, Inheritance, and Encapsulation
- Develop several new VB.NET and C#.NET programs
- Review and debug VB.NET and C#.NET programs
