Fundamentals of Object-Oriented Programming

This introduction to the basics of object-oriented programming provides learners with a firm foundation on which to build high quality software systems that reap the full benefit of an object-oriented approach.  This one-day course explains the essence of the object-oriented paradigm and places it in the context of real world application development. 

Who should attend?
This course is designed for mainframe or client-server developers who are interested in learning object-oriented technologies.

After completing the course, learners will be able to:

  • Understand the object-oriented programming model
  • Create objects, methods, and properties
  • Understand inheritance, encapsulation, and polymorphism
  • Understand object compositions
  • Work with constructors, destructors, and static methods
  • Implement  effective design concepts and UML
