Java EE Architect

Cardinal Solutions’ Enterprise Java Solutions Practice is currently seeking a Java EE Architect/Developer to join its growing team. The Java EE Architect/Developer handles web application planning, design, and implementation of a technical architecture using Java EE and various open source frameworks and technologies.

The Java EE Architect/Developer is responsible for developing enterprise web applications utilizing commercial and open source technologies. Responsibilities include design, development, implementation, and leadership on large and small scale Java projects using Agile methodologies for a variety of Fortune 500 clients. Technologies and frameworks include: Java EE, EJB, Java, JSF, Spring, Hibernate, JSP, Servlets, ANT, XML, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, and Oracle.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong full life cycle software application development background is required.
• Prior architect experience for an enterprise Java project.
• Experience with Struts, JSF, Spring and Hibernate.
• 3-5 years of solid Java EE development experience in a professional environment.
• Solid knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design techniques.
• Understanding of Agile concepts such as TDD and Continuous Integration.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:

• Prior project leadership experience is a plus.
• Experience training in a classroom environment.
• Experience in Financial, Insurance, Commercial Retail or Government industries.
