Topic: Implementing Web Services Using Axis
Axis is the answer to the question: How do I build a Web Service using Java? The instructor will present an overview of Web Services including an explanation of SOAP and WSDL. These concepts will then be demonstrated by building a small application on the fly using the Axis framework.
About the Speaker
Dan Lange is a senior architect specializing in web-enabled enterprise solutions. Dan has been working in Information Technology for over 15 years and has extensive experience in the requirements, design, development, and testing phases of software development. Dan has a strong background in Object Oriented Design/Analysis and the associated concepts such as software design patterns, component refactoring, and the Unified Modeling Language (UML). He has provided technical leadership and direction on large-scale projects as the architect, designer, technical lead, senior developer, and mentor.
Dan also leads the Cardinal Solutions’ Enterprise Java Solutions Practice where he is responsible for emerging technologies, career development, customer relations, and internal and external training.
