Agile With A Deadline: Folly, Desperation, or Shrewd Tactical Move?
This case study will present the details of the first major agile project conducted by Century Insurance, a national provider of property and casualty insurance to small businesses. The development team at Century was tasked with building a mission critical b2b extranet site for their independent agency force in less than 6 months--with practically no written requirements up front! To get there, we decided to use a modified version of Scrum.
In the end, the project was a huge business success, but at what cost? We'll take you though an open discussion of the good, the bad, and the downright ugly consequences of our decision. Then we'll ask your participation and advice in the post mortem.
