Introduction to FDD: Taming the Chaos of Software Development

It’s an astonishing fact that many of today’s IT organizations have little or no strategic processes in place for software development. Those who do, frequently sabotage their own productivity by implementing the wrong ones.

During this presentation Ken Adair will discuss how Feature Driven Development (FDD) can be leveraged in many circumstances to tame the chaos and provide optimal development and reporting strategies, while increasing tangible results.

Key questions that will be addressed:

What is FDD?
What are the goals of FDD?
Will FDD work for me?
How do I implement FDD?
How do I convince my team FDD is the right choice?
How does FDD compare to other methodologies, such as XP and RUP?

The presentation will also be accompanied with real world examples, as well as a Q&A session at the end.

About the Speaker:

Ken Adair is currently employed as a Senior Consultant with Cardinal Solutions. He has been successful in leading numerous development initiatives for a wide range of industry leaders.
