Abstract

This presentation will provide an overview of Managing Agile Projects. Ms. Farrenkopf, a certified PMP, has been managing XP projects for the past 5 years. This presentation will discuss release planning, iteration tracking, daily standups and working with teams that are new to XP. Ms. Farrenkopf will share lessons learned from real world project situations. Some generic tools for iteration planning and tracking will be shared with the group.

Ms. Farrenkopf is the Project Manager for State of Ohio for the Early Adopter Buy-In for Medicare Project. She has over 24 years of professional experience in software and systems analysis, design, and development. She has fourteen years of experience in technical and project leadership roles. Ms. Farrenkopf is PMP-certified and is a member of the Central Ohio Chapter of the PMI. She is the founder and President of the local chapter of the Extreme Programming (XP) User's Group and has over 4 years of experience managing XP Projects. Her areas of expertise include project management methodologies, e-Business Applications, custom adapter development, real-time applications, and object-oriented analysis and design. She has 16 years of software engineering consulting experience and is currently employed as Director of Project Management by Flairsoft.
