A 4 day introductory course designed for software developers who have little or no previous .NET/OO development experience.

Who Should Attend?
Mainframe or client-server developers who need to learn how to support and develop .NET applications.
Applying OO Concepts is a lecture/lab course designed to give students a hands-on introduction to Visual Basic.NET and C#.NET programming.


Prerequisites
Applying OO Concepts is a 4 day introductory course designed for software developers who have little or no previous .NET/OO development experience.


Students Will

  • Learn VB.NET and C#.NET programming syntax, data types and built-in language features
  • Understand .NET technology and get hands-on experience using Visual Studio.NET
  • Learn to use .NET framework classes
  • Create new .NET classes
  • Declare and create primitive and reference types
  • Learn basic object-oriented design and programming concepts
  • Use classroom exercises to apply the OO concepts of Abstraction, Polymorphism, Inheritance,
    and Encapsulation
  • Develop several new VB.NET and C#.NET programs
  • Practice reviewing and debugging VB.NET and C#.NET programs
