Presentation: Blending XP & RUP

This presentation will provide an introduction to Agile Methodologies by a Project Manager who has lead projects employing both Rational Unified Process and Extreme Programming. Many fans of RUP assume XP is too lightweight to be useful. Conversely, XP zealots imagine RUP is too heavy on the process side to be desirable. This presentation will compare and contrast XP and RUP. An overview of each methodology, including practices and principles and a list of pros and cons will be presented. Suggestions will be provided for how to blend best practices from each of these methodologies to meet the needs of your project and your organization.
